Even though this film is still banned in the U.K. by the department of public prosecutions, it`s hard to tell why? The story is not that good and at some points laughable, the gore is not all that nasty and the acting is crap! That's probably one of the reasons why I like it ( ha! ha! ). The only bad bit i suppose it the guy breaking the young kids neck then disembowling him but it sounds a lot worst than it realy is.

The film starts with a group of teenage American’s on their way to a football game. They decide to take a short-cut through the backwoods, wrong move as usual, and stumble into a small normal looking town.



They are intrigued by its eerie looking “House of Wax” and proceed in entering the macabre waxworks. To their horror, they soon find out that all is not what it seems and they must fight their way out of the ten tons of wax (maybe more?) to escape the freaky f*cks that want to melt their arses!



This film, in my opinion, is not bad at all, but that doesn’t mean it’s much good either, Some of the acting is lame does get on your wick ( Ha Ha! ). The direction is very thin and predictable for the first half but it makes up for it nearer the end but overall, is enjoyable.



If you like to see teens killed in a freakishly inventive way, this film might be your cup-o-wax. Oh, and the special effects at the end of the film are definitely worth a mention. It might not melt your appetite ( no pun intended) but prepare yourself for the biggest waxing ever!

Its Christmas time in the sorority house and the girls are starting to party. Strange phone calls are being made to the girls and at first they see it as a prank but slowly one-by-one they start to go missing. The killer is on the loose!



The whole neighbourhood gets involved with the local police force and go on a hunt for the missing girls. They find one body but the police have no suspects so they decide to tap the sorority house phone.



The phone calls get more bizarre and seem to focus on one girl. The plot has more twists than Jerry Lee Lewis and points the finger towards one character. A bizarre whodunit?



I like this movie, even for its age it still looked good and had a great dark atmosphere. The direction was slick and so was the camera work. Even though it lacked in gore, it made up in plot and kept us guessing right to the end as most good gialo’s do. A recommended psychological horror and worth a watch.

Its 10pm the night before Walnut Lake Supermarket closes its doors forever. The owners and night crew have a long shift ahead of them…. Longer than they think....Weird things start happening. The phone lines are cut and the night crew are getting knocked off one by one in the most gruesome ways imaginable.



Intruder has got to be one of the all time best "who done it ?" slasher movies. Very well directed with creativity and many "Sam Raimi like" camera angles to twist your imagination futher. The only bad part of the film I found is the fight scene at the beginning of the film, otherwise the acting is very good and its plot and story line has good direction.



I favour the Hardgore DVD release and if your not really into slasher/gialo's it's worth watching just for the infamous band saw scene alone, as this was originally cut from the uk video release along with most of the more violent death scenes.

Often imitated but never equaled, "Friday the 13th" has become a famous horror-slasher flick and has acheived cult status world wide. Most of the DVD cuts are the same but aparently the longest cut availabe is from Japan but I haven't found it yet. One of the best.

Your typical camp fire slasher, a bit like Friday the Thirteenth but in it`s own right a shocker with good fx`s and plot line. Favorite part was when a girl gets decapitated under a car hood.

A police woman goes undercover at the campus as a tennis instructor to investigate these horrific murders and hopefully catch the culprit. Lots of really bloody gore and plenty of gratuitous nudity, gorehounds will love this teen cult slasher. Well recomended.

A Group of teenagers bite the dust at summer camp in a most graphical gore-fest. It starts out with a group of kids playing a prank on "Cropsey" the camp caretaker and they accidentaly burn him to death. Years later he gets his savage revenge. This has got to be one of the best slasher movies ever with some stunning and gory special fx`s by Tom Savini and the talents of Tony Maylem (director) this flick is a classic. Finaly released uncut in the UK by vipco, the transfer is not the best. I still prefere to watch the pre cert as the colours seem better. This is one of the videos that got caught up in the 82' fiasco and was banned in the uk. See the "Banned List" for more info.

When they arrive they find Edd`s father's collection of bizarre weapons and it makes Edd feel un-easy. This is because his father never really forgave him for accidentally shooting his mother dead when he was younger. What follows is a lot of gory deaths each worse than the previous but "THE MUTILATOR" is saving the best one for last, he`s saving it for Edd! Great slasher flick with plenty of gorey special effects. If your into the genre it's worth picking up the uncut DVD import for the best gore-blast.

The gore in this film was created by special fx`s master Tom Savini and he has really done us proud so if your into the genre you must bag a copy of this in your collection. You won't regret it.
